Introducing the Winner of the Hy Conrad’s Mini-Mystery Kindle Fire Giveaway

So for the last month or so, I’ve been doing a special Kindle Fire giveaway contest to promote Hy Conrad’s awesome whodunnit mystery novel RALLY ‘ROUND THE CORPSE. The way it has worked is simple. Hy wrote a series of solve-it-yourself mini-mysteries that you guys had to try to solve. You sent me your solutions and those who guessed right were added into the pool of contestants for the Kindle Fire drawing. You also had the opportunity for an extra name drop if you shared the blog posts with your friends and let me know about it. That meant that each contestant could have their name in the pool for a total of eight times (four mysteries and four shares). Well, today I have drawn three names out of the hat (yes, I literally used a hat to draw the names from. lol). The first name was the grand prize winner. The two consecutive names are the runner-ups. The runner-ups will receive a free print edition of Rally ‘Round the Corpse and another print edition from the Seven Realms Publishing catalog of their choice.
But before I announce the winners (haha! Yes, I want to prolong the agony for just a bit longer. A little bit of suspense is always a good thing, right?) I wanted to remind everyone the real purpose of this contest. Hy Conrad is an awesome guy. And I’ve been a huge fan of his since the early 90s and during his entire tenure as writer/producer of TVs MONK. I just can’t tell you how ecstatic I was when I agreed to write his very first mystery novel and let me publish it. So I’d be remiss not to promote the book one more time.
Here’s the book synopsis and link for your consideration:

It’s been two years since her fiance’s death. Amy Abel needs to start over. And what better way for a shy, risk-averse woman to start than to sink all her savings into a travel agency specializing in adventure. Her first project? A mystery road rally through the European countryside.

At the starting line in Monte Carlo, Amy finds herself attracted to Marcus Alvarez, the most mysterious of her two dozen game-loving clients. But the rally gets off to a rocky start when an eccentric writer, the only person who knows the game’s solution, is himself murdered back in New York.

So who would kill a harmless mystery geek? And why are weird accidents beginning to happen along the way? To her horror, Amy discovers that this fictional mystery was based on a real, unsolved case, one that Marcus knows too much about. Now she has no choice but to join forces with Fanny, her domineering mother, and solve this on her own, before the killer strikes again.

And if my endorsement isn’t enough, how about the star of Monk himself, Tony Shalhoub?
An absolutely wonderful mystery, served just the way I like it–with heart and humor.” —Tony Shalhoub, star of the hit TV series MONK.

Okay. Enough promotion. So now is the time we’ve all been waiting for…
The GRAND PRIZE WINNER of the Amazon Kindle Fire is…JENNIFER ANTLE!
The two RUNNERUP WINNERS of the print edition of Rally ‘Round the Corpse and one book of their choice from 7R are: Greg Daniel and Rick Estep!
For those who played and didn’t win, thank you for playing and I’m sorry. I hate that not everyone got to win…I honestly do. And we had an excellent turn out for the contest too. It started out pretty slow at first, but at the end, we probably had close to a 100 participants. If you didn’t win this time, then I encourage you to try again the next time I have a contest.
In the meantime, be sure to spread the word about this really fun book. If you read it, I can guarantee you that you won’t be disappointed.
Oh, and have a great Fourth of July celebration!!! But be safe!
